The Upgrade

New life for a 1980 villa — move-in ready June 2027.

Filmed June 2026 · Move-in June 2027

These three short films show Villa Cabrera as it stood in June 2026 — a 1980 villa on a 1,510 m² plot above Santa Ponsa, honest and unpolished. Nothing staged, nothing hidden. Watch them first, then picture what the renovation will make of it.

The transformation

Villa Cabrera is undergoing a complete, high-end renovation and extension — every room reworked, the house opened to the light and the garden, the grounds rebuilt for Mallorca living. This is what the finished home delivers, ready to move into in June 2027.

Anselm Van den Auwelant

Founder & Managing Director — the team renovating Villa Cabrera

Anselm spent three decades building and leading premium international brands. That world teaches a particular discipline: how materials read, how light moves through a space, how the smallest detail decides whether a place feels ordinary or exceptional. It is, above all, an eye for how people actually live.

He brings that eye to villas in Mallorca — and a real passion for the life they make possible. The Mediterranean light. Long days outdoors. A pool you don’t want to leave, a barbecue that turns into dinner for twelve, evenings on the terrace as the heat drops. Villa Cabrera is designed around exactly that — the indoor-outdoor life that makes a Mallorca home worth owning.

It is also why co-ownership fits. Anselm builds the villa to a standard most buyers only dream of; Mallorca Homebase acquires the finished home on behalf of up to eight co-owners — so an exceptional Santa Ponsa villa becomes something a small group of owners share, not a burden one buyer carries alone.
